Chef Laura Rizek is a Dominican culinary strategist whose career spans over three decades, bridging large-scale food-service operations with haute-catering artistry. A Hotel-Management graduate of Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, she is a Certified Chef de Cuisine by the Pan-American Forum of Gastronomy and the World Chefs Association, with additional accreditations in ServSafe sanitation, nutrition science, human-resources management, culinary judging, and professional training.
Early in her career, Laura led food operations at Zona Franca San Isidro, orchestrating up to 3,000 daily meals — an experience that shaped her discipline in scale, timing, quality control, and operational precision.
She later became a trusted consultant for restaurant launches, corporate mega-events, and backstage hospitality productions such as Festival Presidente. As a quality advisor to Kahkow and a coach for Dominican junior and senior culinary teams, she combines technical rigor with creative innovation.
Her contribution to the Dominican team's Gold-medal performance at the IKA Culinary Olympics reflects her ability to deliver excellence at an international standard.
